Thanks to the developing of technology, people can have a good and comfortable life. This makes the life be more and more modern than in the past. Nowadays, there are many helpful inventions in our life such as intelligent TV sets, computers, laptops, mobile phones and so on. But the gadget I would like to have is a laptop.
It looks like a small smart TV which has about 14 inches screen. It is made of a lot of electric circuits inside and has a white clean screen. It is covered by plastic around its body accept its screen.
It has a lot of functions that are interesting and convenient to me. Whenever, for example, I connect to the internet I can discover many things in our life or different fields on over the world. Every day I will surf web about four or five hours to get information for my job. As you know, I am an English teacher, so I will choose some websites in English to improve my skills. I think this will be a good way for me to improve my speaking and listening skills. My friend, Mr. Quang has just given me a wonderful website which I can join the online class and I can both learn and talk to the foreign teachers while I am studying. In addition, I will also communicate with my friends or relatives although they live far away from me by using Skype, yahoo or Gmail websites.
Actually, the main reason why I want to buy the laptop is that it will help me a lot for my career in the future …I can’t afford buying this laptop with my low salary at the moment, so all I can do now is to keep working hard and save lots of money to make this dream come true! Inventions have changed the world and the lives of people many times through history .

Throughout history there are many inventions that have influenced people and society. From antibiotics, to television, to birth control and the Internet, these inventions have moved us forward, given us freedom, saved us time and improved modern life. Influential inventions are those that continue to shape and influence modern society long after their introduction. It is difficult to imagine where we would be today without some of the most influential inventions of all time. And the fifth most important inventions of different times that we see daily in our 21st century. They affected our life, changed its ways and made it easier for the society.
- the wheel the wheel is the transportation tool, has the ability to move large objects and always was a part of the important inventions such as the gear leading to the invention of automobiles.

Electricity is a convenient source of energy, providing heat and light. Also, electricity provides power which is the basis for the most technology. Moreover, it helps restarting a person’s heart.

As, for internet, it is the unique invention of the 20th century, because of the variety of functions it offers. Among these functions are: product advertising, immediate distribution of information, easy perform of surveys, fast announcements and so forth.

A computer is a machine that takes information in, is able to manipulate it in some way, and outputs new information. Computers are able to make complicated mathematical calculations at an incredible rate of speed.
